Hello and Welcome!

Hello and Welcome!

“Due to the continuing pandemic and the need for social distancing, Cornerstone church will be holding services in the Cairn Christian School gym, beginning at 10:00 am.  This is a new time and location for us. The address is 6470 Niagara Regional Rd 14, Smithville, ON L0R 2A0.May God continue to bless and watch over you through these difficult times, as we experience this whole new way of ‘loving our neighbour’. If you have prayer requests, simply send them in our ‘Prayer and Praises’ page, and we will be sure to keep you in our prayers.”

Smithville Station

We wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that Cornerstone Christian Assembly (affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada PAOC) is active in the Smithville community.

We meet every Sunday morning in the historical Smithville Train Station at 10:30 a.m.

We value worship and digging into the Word. If you want to check us out, or are looking for a place to worship, please join us on Sunday morning. The coffee is pretty good (and free), the people are friendly, the atmosphere is casual, the worship is sincere, and the preaching is true to the Word. Step into the Station, and discover what lies ahead. Romans 8:28

Meet Gord & Cathy

Gordon and Cathy Park have been Pastoring Cornerstone Christian Assembly since 2013. Gord was also Youth Pastor at Lakemount Worship Center in Grimsby in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Both Gord and Cathy grew up in the Salvation Army, and Gord’s parents were officers (pastors), which gave him the opportunity to live in 9 different places across Canada before leaving home and going to University in London and Toronto. Cathy was born and raised in Hamilton.

Gord is also a teacher at Smithville Christian Highschool, and has been teaching English, Dramatic Arts, and more recently a Worldview course for International students, for the past 40 years. Gord is also the Spiritual Life Director of the High School. Over the years, Gord has also been invited to speak at a wide variety of Christian events, both Internationally and across Canada.

Gord and Cathy Park

Gord and Cathy have been married since 1980, have two married children and 5 grandchildren all living in the Smithville area. Life is a blessing.

Be sure to say ‘Hi’ when you visit Cornerstone. They will be happy to get to know you.

24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
